Our Story

I love my family, trees, the rain, rocking chairs, white chocolate, living room dance parties, and whiskey.

My job allows me to be a witness. It allows me to honor our collective struggle and all the darkness that can come with life. I walk beside people as i hear their story and help them create space for the light to creep in. I believe in healing through holistic, trauma informed therapy. I believe in the connectedness of our mind, body and spirit. when we honor all of those things together we can create space for change and growth and all the good stuff.

I currently work to create programming and establish best practice protocol for survivors of human trafficking, coordinate services for victims of crime and counsel individuals and couples with issues around marriage, babies and breathing!

I’m excited to share my journey and learn about yours! It takes a village ya’ll.

I am a mom, wife, psychotherapist, group leader, animal lover, and farm-girl from Iowa.

I love my family, my friends, my job, my dogs, reading, running, coffee, more coffee, wine and sweets.

I’m in private practice with a brilliant partner at the Bedford Therapy Group.  It is an richly gratifying and challenging career.  I work with individuals and couples around most common issues, and I believe in the power of relational patterns and how we can change them.  My own marriage is awesome and also really hard sometimes.  He is a firefighter, as I’m a therapist, so we work in very different places of decision making, problem solving, and processing! We have two girls, ages two and four, and three rescued dogs.  One of them is technically a dog but is the size of a small hippo.  We come from farms in Iowa and crave some integration of our upbringing into our life in the city, and want to raise our girls with horses and dogs, maybe even a few chickens.
